The City of San José awarded MHC a challenge grant that will allow us to reduce the loan obligation we have outstanding with the City while we raise funds to support our mission. Here's how it works -- for every dollar contributed to MHC between now and December 1, 2008, the City of San José will erase two dollars from our outstanding loan. That's right: If you donate $10 right now, the city will reduce the amount we owe them by an additional $20. So, the more you give, the stronger we become -- financially, and in building our capacity.
